Dear Marriage Supporter,
The second annual March for Marriage is less than a week away and we are on the clock to get as many marriage supporters to Washington, D.C. as possible.
On June 19th, thousands of Americans from all across the country will rally in and take to the streets of our nation's capital with the simple and beautiful message: marriage between one man and one woman is unique and critical for our society because children deserve the love and care of both a mother and a father.
Have you made your plans to join us next Thursday, June 19th for the March and NOM's first ever “Lobby Day"? All the details are at www.marriagemarch.org — the route and schedule, as well as a page of buses from around the region that still have seats available. Check it out and make your plans; we can't wait to share the day with you.
We'd also like to let you know of some more special developments for this year's March.
First, in order to show the nation the success of your efforts, NOM has set up a special email address that you can use to send pictures and video of the Rally and March as they happen. The email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to take pictures of the day's events, or even video, and send them to this email address so we can post them on the March for Marriage website.
If you can't come to D.C. next week, you can still organize your own event in your hometown or capital. Get some friends together; simply stand and pray for marriage or hold your own rally. But be sure to take some pictures and send them to us at email@example.com!
Together we'll demonstrate that across the nation the American people stand for marriage as one man and one woman.
One other reminder: if you still haven't shared the March's video with your friends, family, and faith community, it's not too late. Maybe you can even show it in your church or parish this Sunday.
Counting the Days Until We Stand Together,
Brian S. Brown
P.S. America needs to demonstrate to our government that we still stand for marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Please do everything you can to join us in Washington next week. But if you can't — organize your own event to stand and pray for marriage, and be sure to send us your pictures at firstname.lastname@example.org.
