For those unable to make it to Washington, D.C. on June 19th, you can still be a part of the March for Marriage by signing up to be a part of the Virtual March!
The Virtual March is a way for everyone across the country to participate in the March for Marriage, joining the thousands of marriage activists in our nation’s capitol. This national grassroots advocacy in defense of marriage will serve to greatly enhance the impact of the March in Washington.
Specifically, Virtual Marchers are encouraged to:
Hold rallies in your communities;
Write letters to the editor and engage local media about marriage and the March to ensure more balanced coverage;
Engage in social media throughout the day to tell the world why we're standing up for marriage; and
Pay a visit a legislator’s office locally to express your concerns about marriage.
If you sign up to be a part of the Virtual March, you will receive information and “how-to” packets to help you achieve each of these objectives.
Finally, make sure to check out the store and purchase some March for Marriage swag to wear for your local activities on June 19th — and email us your pictures at email@example.com so we can update our photostream of the March with pictures from around the country!
From 11 am — 1 pm, we will be hosting a rally on the grassy area immediately to the West of the Capitol. At 1 pm, we will March to the Supreme Court. We hope you can join us!
Our program, including notable speakers and great music, will ensure that everyone is pumped up and inspired to March for Marriage, and give our attendees the information and edification they need to continue fighting for marriage in their own communities after returning home from the March.
